Custom 3D Printer

I am designing and building an FDM 3D printer with a college friend in order to gain valuable electro-mechanical design experience as well as having a platform to be able to print any potential product ideas.

I designed the 3D printer in Solidworks, built the parts myself in a Machine shop, and worked with 3d printing services to print out custom brackets.  Derek and I are in the process of wiring, customizing the firmware, and testing the 3D printer in order to make a reliable machine.
